Discussion Confusion clearing thread regarding TRAI rate changes effective 1st February

But Siva Bro very important is what he said if you have a long term contract with provider and you think it is cheap do not break that contract your self as there are many DishTV customers who are paying just Rs33 per month(Rs1279 for 3 years recharge) for DD DTH free channels in Dish TV so right now we our self should not submit request to DishTV regarding new Trai order change of Package and better wait and watch till 1 st Feb,similarly Tatasky/Airtel customers also should wait and watch for time being and even today as Tatasky is free to give connection as per old system(due to Delhi high court stay order) still some new customers can buy a new Tatasky connection with annual payment

That's right. If consumer thinks the current LDP is beneficial, he/she can stick to it. But the problem is, even if one channel is needed on al-a-carte basis, the LDP users need to pay 130 NCF plus taxes in addition to the channel MRP. So calculate and choose wisely.
 
as per trail rules 1HD=2 SD slots, on the other hand we r paying 130+18% gst bucks for channels slots, maximum SD and HD channels priced at same rate, for example ZEE HD and SD same price,,so if somebody chosen ZEE HD paying 19rs, but missing a slot....isnt pathetic move by trai?
 
Trai also not know what they have done. This impact they will face after 1st Feb.
 
I need some help here.
I had booked independent tv connection last year. Then there was an offer in which they claimed to provide all channels free for one year. At that time it was looking pretty cool so I ordered it.
Now I got a call from independent tv yesterday asking for installation of dth. When I asked him about TRAI tarrif order he said that it would not affect me and I will still get all the channels free for one year.

I want to know is that even possible as all dth are declaring prices.

Should I go with installation ?

Please help me.
And sorry for the length of post.
