TRAI Said Most Of People Watching 15-20 Channels,
Then Why They Provide NCF Pack Of 100 Channels.

They Also Said People Will Pay Only For What They Watch.

But Why They Have To Pay NCF of 100 Channels While Selecting 5 to 10 Channels or Less Than 100 Channels.

They Have To Make Minimum 25 Channels NCF Package Not 100's , So Price Will Be Lesser.
Ur right.. But y no one seems to bother about the broadcasters? Everyone saying tarai trai trai!

We can protest if we want, not subscribed and close dth and Mso for some time and watch TV and movies through internet for some time. I m very sure all will be shorted out. They need to reduce price and Trai also learned a lesson. They think customers are fools

SITI Cable is a joke. They are asking to select channels. Meanwhile they haven't updated anything yet. Even the scroll comes and goes at random times.

15% cap issue dismissed by Supreme Court, we are doomed: TRAI tariff order: Supreme Court respite for broadcasters
How ?
The same news opens with following lines:
"With a petition of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) seeking clarity on the 15 per cent bouquet discount cap getting “ dismissed as withdrawn” in the Supreme Court on Thursday, broadcasters can continue to give discounted pricing on their channel bouquets without any restrictions."
So from viewers viewpoint We are saved :):)

The main motto of TRAI was to give freedom for the consumers to view what they want. Now with 15 percent rule not in place, broadcasters have set ridiculous prices for individual channels and providing huge discounts on bouquets by combining popular channels with non popular channels. This defeats the whole purpose of the new regime. Take an example of Star/Zee/Sun bouquets. They are playing with the minds of consumers, by projecting as if they are giving so many channels at lesser prices whereas in reality they want the users to pay for useless channels in the name of bouquet. Pathetic tactics from broadcasters and TRAI had become their puppet.

Yeah. Not having 15% cap defeats the whole purpose of this new regime. No flexibility to choose our channels at all bcz of high ala carte prices it's the same like present. Just more costlier than ever. Trai is a joke
