No

I Think new Model STBs might be supporting HEVC Codecs.. if not no one cant get them in UHD.
BTW my guess is we can watch UHD Channel existing HD TV .. just can watch .. i may be wrong but i got atleast Still pictures in my LCD Monitor ..

If new stb support this then connecting this stb with HD TV resolution will be downscaled from uhd to HD. But I don't think current stb support it as only last year Technicolor shows demonstration of the chip capable of decoding 4k

If so then whats the use of Launching a UHD channel even bfore the format supported STB Launched ? i think some STBs will be compatible..

D2h use Technicolor box ? If yes then possible but If not then who is the 4k capable stb manufacturer except Technicolor?

Is d2h manufacturing under license from another company or they have they have invented low cost 4K chip ? Any idea
