ASIF JAVAID is using PVR satellite box as seen here (Link Removed). I plan to go that route myself.
If i'm not mistaken Indian DTH providers are required to allow customers to switch STBs (by means of CI slot).

No dish dvr as of soon, acoording to my dish tv contact, recording only through USB port on pen drive or external hard disk, currently.
