Kevin Vaz, the virtuale second-in-command in the Disney Star ecosystem, has resigned from the company after a tenure of over 20 years, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Sources have indicated that the experienced TV broadcast executive will join Viacom18 as its new CEO. It is also learned that major changes to Viacom18's organisational structure are expected to take place in the upcoming months.

So jothi will be promoted to jio studios and viacom18 studios to pump jiovoot

Another big poach by Viacom18 from Disney Star. Kevin Vaz has long been associated with the kids’ and regional cluster at Disney Star and I bet he will drive the big push by JioCinema/JioVoot into more markets.
Hope kids channels content will change,
24hrs Shinchan in Hungama,
Disney channel 95% schedule with Doraemon.

Under Kevin Vaz Star able to stay strong in Hindi as well as regional languages. His arrival will be beneficial to Viacom18 which is in the situation of poor performance in regional languages. Every body pulls out experts from Star and Star just promote their juniors to fill the gap and could able to move forward like earlier. When Uday Shankar left it was like beheading. But his successor K Madhavan able to lead the company stronger than earlier.
Anyway this is a major shifting and can make many changes in both companies.

Obviously Viacom18 coping Disney/Star everywhere, but success ratio remains low. After Anil Jayaraj quits Star Sports started airing matches of CSA, Womens Cricket without blackout. Let's hope After Kevin Vaz quits improve some GEC channels and Kids/Eng Channels revamp.

Absolutely Spot On,,

They Are Working On Telugu And Malayalam Markets,,,

Former Star India chief Uday Shankar, who has joined the Viacom18 board, is preparing the blueprint to grow the company, which has become a serious contender in the sports business with the acquisition of Indian Premier League (IPL) digital rights.

Vaz joins the long list of executives who have quit Star, with some of them joining Viacom18 following Shankar's entry into the company. In 2021, Star Sports ad sales head Anil Jayaraj joined Viacom18 as CEO of the sports business. Around the same time, Disney+ Hotstar ad sales head Gulshan Verma quit the company to join JioAds as CEO.
