This problem is not only with ADTV its also with Sun Direct. Star Plus HD Dolby Digital Sound not working at Sun Direct also.

On optical it's working fine...
But on HDMI only stereo working .. On star HD DD+ chanell not even DD..but other Chanel like Sony HD, life ok HD zee studio HD DD working fine on HDMI

Is it possible check the audio bit rate of star HD channels (It should be 640 kbps)
Then you can try with high speed hdmi cable also; it will not cost too much
Because as per Dolby web site:
Dolby Digital Plus bit streams transported by means of an HDMI™1.3 connection. HDMI 1.3 provides all the standard HDMI benefits (such as single-cable connection for both audio and video), and
allows full application of the
receiver’s DSP postprocessing
and bass management.

Note : Now hdmi is not using version no; they are normal,highspeed,highspeed with ethernet
So normal hdmi cables are not capable for transporting both audio & video
