Bro, I am not sure about the settings available in your home theater. But for me since I am using a decoder to convert spdif into analog audio I used to set 5.1 in the decoder and nothing else.

Following options are available for sound on my home theatre system -

Afd multi
Afd standard
2 channel stereo
Pl2 music
Pl2 movies
