Standing for a moment, trying to recall the second half...

By the time he gained his senses he was on a hospital bed recovering from burns of BOILING WATER...!!!

Nice one... for that line, guys with wives already must not use that line even if they think that it's a joke and an inspirational line to say to our mothers... or else guys will also experience what the doctor on the story had and be brought in the hospital because of burns from boiling water..
