we have lot of regional channels in dd like dd podhigai, dd malayam, dd odia etc..

but we have only one sports channel in DD is " DD SPORTS "

why DD will not use to broadcast the cricket series in " DD SPORTS "

They only use in DD National any special pls

Dd sports is getting only through dth. Meanwhile dd national getting thru antenna.

DD sports is satellite FTA channel, but DD1 is available in terrestial antenna through out India, where DD sports won't.

If government will make dd sports as a terrestial channel only then it can posible.but no plan as of now.
secondly dd sports is also availible in foreign satellite so they can't telecast international cricket because channel is fta.

DD 1 also available in foreign satellite (if it available in satellite, how to distinguish it is foreign or in india, if possible, same can be do with DD Sports).
Making DD sports as a terrestial channel is big task , need very huge investment. As Whole india moving towards Digitilization, Govt. won't go for this analog signal, with this huge investment.

But even DD1 showing matches, it can simultanely show the matches in DD Sports also with English commentary and also insist all LCO/MSO to show DD sports. It wil give more revenue to Doordarshan and also DD sports wil get some popularity. And also highlights and recordings can be shown in DD sports ,which DD 1 won't.
Even though lot of sports channels available right now, no one is free channel. As FTA DD sports can do more than currently doing.
