E! Entertainment Television, Universal Networks' entertainment and celebrity lifestyle channel, has launched in the Philippines through a carriage agreement with SkyCable, the country's leading pay-TV provider.
E!'s content will now be consolidated in one place, initially available to SkyCable Gold and Silver digital subscribers.
Christine Fellowes, managing director Asia-Pacific, Universal Networks International, said: "The Philippines launch of E! Entertainment Television reinforces the channel's growing popularity and appeal to both Filipino viewers and advertisers, alike.
"This launch enables us to continue E!'s groundbreaking momentum in pay-TV viewer enjoyment via top quality and up-to-the-minute Hollywood entertainment content across Asia."
The Philippines E! channel will offer first-run and exclusive programming aimed primarily at women in the 18-49 age group, including: E! News, E! News Asia, Live From The Red Carpet, Fashion Police, Keeping Up with the Kardashians (from Season Six onwards) Kourtney & Kim Take New York, Khloe & Lamar, The Dance Scene and many others.
"Celebrity content is hugely popular with Filipino viewers," said Claudia Suarez, SkyCable's head of programming.
"With the launch of E!, we are thrilled to be able to now offer our subscribers the single, definitive source for news and information on Hollywood entertainment and celebrity."
E! will be available to almost 16 million households in Asia.
