The current news as according to my satellite vendor is that d2h is doing such things such as to prevent piracy and especially prevent d2h cards being used in advanced boxes like openbox and dreambox... Many people are into card pairing, hence to preserve the originality of the card and make d2h secure, d2h have taken measures.... This is what i have heard, today

@Biswa bhai GLK stands for Go Live Kit

There will be a GLK pin number and a GLK serial number which has to be matched for activating the box.

So even if the card is used on any other box this pin and serial number will not match.

thanks for the update and info @madhan do u know about the unavailability of the external card slot in this box... it has a embedded card in it .... Any more info on it??

i remember reading a release from d2h about this. If i remember it correctly, you or your dealer will have the GLK pin and serial number will be on the stb. We need to call cc and provide the 2 numbers. The box will be activated only if those two numbers match.

If there is a mis match it will not work. This is to avoid piracy. Not sure whether the card will be in small size or regular size.

I believe these boxes will be preactivated. Remember those old reliance mobilephones which came without sim slot and were pre activated. This is something similar

Actually my dealer was telling me about GLK being a kit, but he was not able to make me understand properly... :huh
