Thanks so much for your reply. So these COMPONENT type HD has qualities than the HDMI one though provided by the same HD STB?

The picture quality is best when its connected through HDMI.. The AV (component) which is provided at the back of stb are for backward compatibility to view channels in TV which doesn't have HDMI...The picture quality is not as good compared to HDMI connection
