Anna, since you live in Mumbai, I guess you are familiar (50% as you told) with North Karnataka Kannada (Uttara Kannada slang). This slang is influenced by Marathi and is a mash up of Kannada (again different slang) and Marathi with some Hindi. Good to see you understanding Kannada. Kannada is spoken differently in different parts of Karnataka.

Btw, even I can understand, speak, read and write Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, English and can understand, speak and read Tamil and Malayalam.😅

Yes its happens in India...Telangana and Andhra also like that Andhra people voice very respectfully where Rayalaseema and Telangana not like. In Karnataka Udipi and Tullu also using by many which is different and Maharashtra to Koli Language and Marathi language both are different but they are Maharashtrian.

Yes Anna, in Karnataka, Bengaluru Kannada, Mandya Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Coastal Kannada (apart from Tulu), Kodava language which is a dialect of Kannada and mixture of Telugu and Malayalam is spoken. Kannada also has some other dialects.
