No, it was working for me when I was on Vodafone. It was working even on Jio sometime back. I'm facing this issue from May 26th. See the screenshot bro.

Before too not working bro coz it's charged sms .. as per jio T&C 10 digits mobile numbers sending sms only free bro

Other than that all sms like this are chargeble

Whereas if u are in postpaid plan means also u can't send SMS to these 5 digit numbers as per jio T&C

It's for all Telecom but chargeble sms the same in jio also charged sms .. so if ur a prepaid user means u must have sufficient balance to send SMS to these numbers it won't come under free sms benefit

Whereas postpaid numbers can't send SMS as per there plan restrictions in jio
