If you want more SD And HD channels at very low cost,With good HD PQ and AQ Surely go for Airtel.In Airtel you can choose any low Base pack from myplan99 Started with All HD channels topup.
If price does not matter for you, Then go for Tata sky.You will get all HD channels in Tata sky except CN HD+, Discovery Jeet HD and Colors Tamil HD. But HD access fee available in Tata sky also.
Presently Customer Services 100% better in TataSky, Customer Care Services Very Bad in Airtel DTH. Hope in future it will change.
One thing SD channels PQ best in Tata SKY and HD channel PQ/AQ Best In Airtel.

I use Airtel DTH and can't compare with Tata Sky, but from my experience customer care service with Airtel DTH is very good.

I have recently brought and installed Airtel DTH. My STB is HD HEVC with model number HS3C02. It has no S/PDIF (optical) audio port to connect a Dolby sound system.
I have contacted retailer and customer care, they told, now a days these type of STBs are coming. I knew that earlier, HEVC STBs with optical port (model number HSE4016ATL, HDS8104) were available. Is there any way to get a STB with optical audio output ?
