Bhaijaan I'm not discrediting , I'm not supporting something that consumes both our money and time , VVC and Fox both tried to promote it but due it's boring and crap screenplay , Shikara bombed . As far as all movies ( Bollywood, South , Hollywood ) is concerned, yes there are both bad and good movies in all industry but majority movies are mass entertainers . Inshort our audience are not mature enough to demand for good movies which are informative . They only want crap for enjoyment. U do watch many documentaries on Nat Geo right , If anyone on it gets released in theatre , do u think people will come to watch it ?


Yes But Moh Moh ke Dhaage type of songs comes once in an year , this is also 7 years older . Till 2016 , bollywood used to create good and original songs like that if Aashiqui 2, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil , Mast Magan etc but after that , we are more dependent on remakes of old songs whereas down South, they still make old and fresh melodious music . Now again , u might feel as if I'm biased but tell me why is bollywood deteriorating year by year in both Movies and Music ? . Movies like Hindi Medium, Angrezi Medium , Bala , etc which are made on an issue restrict to 50-100 crores whereas movies like Tubelight, Race 3 , Zero , Dabangg 3 etc which are unbearable still collect 100 crores ? In bollywood, only Star Power works , people are not much interested in Content and this is a fact nowadays .

God Bless you if u still think that I'm Biased . I'm also a Bollywood movie lover but if in movies , our past history, our culture is not shown properly then I won't tolerate it .

Buddy , both regional and Hindi language movie industry make all sorts of films catering to different audiences. About audience being mature , well i would say meaningful cinema is surely watched lot more now and trend will continue but at the same time masala films will also b relevant bcoz both have an important place. Even i watch movies like dor, iwbal, swades, lakshya, cheeni kum, udta punjab, delhi 6 etc but at same i enjoy masala movies like no entry, coolie no.1(1995), waqt hamara hai, chamatkar, etc. There is also another kind of cinema which balances both elements like Lago Raho Munnabhai, 3 id*ots, Taare Zameen Par etc.

One point i agree upon is that bollywood needs to focus more on good stories, screenplay, direction, acting as in recent years i too feel most of the bollywood films have not been good. Dabanng was a good movie but its sequels were not at all good. About fees of stars being high, well that is for producers to decide... With films flopping this will b auto corrected soon except for those like Akshay Kumar sir who works extremely hard and delivers successful films
