I have already said that Star Gold Select will be discontinued, UTV Action HD alongwith Star Gold 2 HD will make way. Already UTV HD is airing mostly Hollywood Movies apart from offbeat bollywood content, soon it will be separated as different chs. I think a classic cinema channel will also come from Disney / Star stable.

Right now Star is also working out rights with studios or producers and for certain films wherein rights r restricted for airing on UTV or Star Channels.. changes r being incorporated in agreement to include both brands. Currently all the old UTV Motion Pictures library owned by Erstwhile Disney cannot be aired on Star Channels bcoz of contract signed. Similar is case for many other movies... All this will be settled soon alongside YRF joining in. Strong possibility of Dharma and some others too moving to Star Family. Post this rebranding will be rolled out

Disney International HD is doomed. They stopped airing TV movies. There is no repeat of random season of Pokemon they are airing. Too much airtime is given to Hannah Montana. Meanwhile the other popular show Wizard of the Waverly Place is airing in the middle of night. Then also in 4:3 format. Later seasons of Wizards aired in HD which didn't made into Disney International HD. Only Jonas LA is doing fine. There is huge fan base of Disney kids of 2000s. Look on twitter how we worship Selena, Demi, Miley and Jonas. Even current generation like Zendaya, Sabrina Carpenter and Rowan Blanchard. When disney brought back international programming in India. It was too late. We still welcomed it with open heart. If the channel shuts down for another Star Sports crap. Disney will never be forgotten. And Disney India Totally Sucks will come back on Facebook again.

I completely disagree with UTV Action HD. Zee Action and UTV Action are NOT worthy of HD channels. Star Gold 2 HD is a distant possibility if Movies OK is rebranded to Star Gold 2 or some other name.

You cannot be absolutely certain that Star Gold Select will be discontinued shut down. I think it will be kept, at least in its HD form.

I completely disagree with your theories that Star Gold Select HD will be replaced by UTV Action HD, and &pictures HD will be replaced by Zee Bollywood HD. This is my personal opinion, and we all agree to disagree.

You have been saying that Star Gold (or, rather, the entire Star Hindi movie cluster) will be rebranded. But nothing has happened. I think @asgworldindia is more accurate; he is correct in saying that Star has greatly pushed back the rebranding of Star Gold, at least by a year or two.

Rebranding of their Movie Clusters pending from Pre- IPL Season. Star Gold Graphics & Design literally getting Backdated Day by Day. Even though SIPL holds the license for revamping Movies OK to Star Gold 2 and Star Utsav Movies to Star Gold Family - " but / a big But " that till the Process pending nearly after 9 months of receiving MIB permission.
Also repeating Star - Disney (UTV) Movie Library by shuffling to ViceVersa Channels leading to meaningless attitude day after day.

Can we spare premium select channel for International sports? South Africa's Tour of India is airing on SSS 1 and SS1 HD.

Bhai, what r u saying? Look at latest BARC Rating, Disney International HD is doing great. U r right Disney Live Action as well as cartoons have huge fan base but again acquiring content rights and ability to monetise it is a hard thing. Unfortunately under present ad based model only those things make presence on tv which r demanded by majority and returns to investment can be assured.

What u r talking requires a lot balanced subscription + ad driven revenue model until then things will continue like this depending on choices of larger base

Buddy UTV Action HD is almost confirmed bcoz of massive popularity dubbed hollywood movies enjoy now in India and Disney becoming parent company of Star India. Rest be assured this will happen alongwith rebranding exercise which is delayed as reasons already stated by me number of times in various threads including here.

Zee requires to have clear positioning of channels, too much overlapping happening right now. There r different models which cam worked out but unfortunately hollywood dubbed channel seems less possible bcoz Disney has grabbed all of the Sony Pictures library they had

What's going on at Vh1? I saw A** and F*** written on TV uncensored. Usually they delay awards by half an hour to avoid vulgarity after Comedy Central's ban in 2014. And less talked about VMA and EMA 2013. I witnessed things on EMA 2013 you won't believe aired on Indian television.

Vh1 is anyway not getting audience these days thanks to internet and their pathetic SD audio quality which they r not rectifying despite number of requests from me in last 3 years. So they can try flouting rules for getting undue attention

Star has lots of movies in their kitty. Fox star studios aggressive productions and distribution ventures will push them further. Plus long term deals with Ajay Devgan, Hritik Roshan, Nadiadwala Grandson, Jio Studios have already made them the destination. Next year almost 80℅ of announced projects or projects which are in filming stage are with Star. Be it Tanaji, Chhapak, Bhuj, Dil Bechara, Shamshera, Prithviraj they have it all.Zee is coming in second with deals with Rajshri, Balaji Telefilms and their own Aggressively pushed Zee Studios. Colors and Sony are getting dues through a mix of Bollywood and South content. Sony MAX is the still the highest rated movie channel according to BARC. South produces some really amazing movies which Max and Star give due. Colors has a weak South Indian Library with titles which are not of much importance. Sony is aggressive and will surely launch a new Bollywood channel plus Sony is the most user friendly network with amazing content in the GEC sector. Sony with Tseries and Vishesh films with a push from SPNI (hope they start producing more movies), Goldmines Syndications and Vinod Chopra Films should get on the right track.
