Do you know, four Star HD channels will celebrate their 10th anniversary soon. Star Plus, Gold, World and Movies HD were launched on 15 April 2011 with the ‘Asli HD’ campaign, while Nat Geo HD had been launched before, in 2010.

I think what Viacom18 must have done was to keep Rishtey Cineplex as a Free Dish exclusive channel catering to dubbed cinema and have Colors Cineplex as its pay tv substitute. Colors Cineplex Bollywood should have launched across platforms as a new channel


Right now i think they r playing a waiting game, with new RIO not possible to b rolled out it is difficult to get new channels placed across platforms , only way is by paying carriage fee for each platform. Most likely if they succeed on Free Dish then Colors Cineplex will b revamped as bollywood channel across pay platforms and Rishtey Cineplex distribution will b expanded. Do not see 2 dubbed cinema channels being on air from them

For change Colors Cineplex will showcase 3 bollywood films back2back tomorrow, although these films r part of 10 or 12 bollywood films which r aired quite often and rest of 98% library remains unused

In addition to this even Zee Cinema airing 4 bollywood films today. Great change. Guess channels r realising potential to succeed with bollywood films seeing how star/disney has managed to remain ahead using this strategy

FTV India and FTV Global feed has been discontinued it seems. Now FTV Paris on its place.
