Looks like this time Vadirocks update becomes false. I agree one channel Zee Thirai HD available, But another channel Zee Picchar HD not even launched from Broadcaster Zee.

Cannot say I am surprised, since not a single DTH added Zee Thirai/Picchar HD. People are mostly watching the movies on Zee Tamil/Kannada HD and an SD version of the movie channel is more than enough. It is not as big a market as Telugu where Zee Cinemalu HD is required.

Now I seriously doubt that Udaya Movies HD and Surya Movies HD will be launched, and Disney Star may even backtrack on launching Asianet Movies HD and Vijay Super HD. Unprofitable niche HD channels cannot be sustained for a long time. Look at ETV Abhiruchi/Life HD which could not survive.

Zee Thirai SD itself not successful channel, cannot say about Zee Picchar. its not even launched Zee Picchar HD, probably launching on Zee Kannada Kutumbam Awards 2022.
