Tomorrow as part of Birthday Celebrations of Superstar Akshay Kumar hindi movie channels will be airing many of his bollywood movies.....Disney-Star is airing maximum Akki paaji movies all thru the day across its hindi movie channels ....i also sense that Disney-Star jas signed some agreement with Akshay Kumar and would be satellite+ digital rights partner for the movies produced by him (except certain co-produced ones).....Disney-Star hindi movie channels have not only been able to give majority airtime to bollywood movies since a long time but importantly succeeded in getting good/excellent ratings for all such movies barring some completely poorly made movies which too got average ratings when premiered on their channels, reason being Disney-Star has build a robust + loyal audience base of bollywood movie viewers while rival broadcasters have been unsuccessful at it with their content strategy mostly skewed towards airing more dubbed South Indian Movies

Sony-Zee do not have a dedicated channel for airing dubbed hollywood movies in Hindi, even on their current hindi movie channels only select few of such movies r aired that too quite rarely.

I think it is a good initiative for them to add audio feeds on their English Movie Channels to fill this void but for it to have a positive outcome interms of reaching out to wider ratings /getting higher ratings they need 1st provide their English Movie Channels in basic broadcaster / DPO bouquet, reduce a-la-carte price of these channels and most importantly promote availability of this feature among general public thru various mediums including how to change language using their STB Remote else even though this is good step but it will not result in any change as far as viewership of these channels are concerned

Strange this year even on Friendship Day Comedy Central did not air Impractical Jokers. I feel Viacom-CBS, Warner Bros TV shows might soon shift to zee or Disney-Star. NBC Universal/Comcast showing lot of interest in expanding its partnership with Viacom18, maybe their TV shows + movies will get more space on Viacom18 channels...new English Movie Channel might be launched soon
