anyone want to compare sound quality.just play the any star movies any movie on bluray player and check same on your dth.you can get the different.
or
watch sun music,mtv,hbo,9xm,vh1,kalagnar tv daily 10:30 to 11:30,sun tv weekend movies...

it would be silly to compare the aulity of blu ray disc with the quality of the sound and picture u get on dth. dth cannot match blu ray as in dth some level of compression is applied and chs are not relayed in original form as its is done in blu ray

i am not telling compare blu-ray to dth,telling first you know about the audio clarity and then talk.(just check with blu-ray for what your tv can produce).

I want to move from Airtel to d2h once my sub ends on 10th of April..

I have heard a lot of people telling about bad picture quality in SD channels

@Sadiq - How is the quality of Tamil channels,sports channels,english movie channels mainly..I saw u post a few ss of tamil channels..Does it have pixels or it has good quality? Also can you comment on the Sports channels & English movies channels(SD) quality so that I can make my decision and move to d2h..

Note : I have 32 inch Sony LCD TV.

Sure bro, I can tell you. Before that, I am using HD set top box with HDMIT connectivity.

All the Tamil channles are in acceptable quality. Some times ther will be very less pixels mostly in Sun Music only that too when they are playing upscalled HD videos from Sun Music end. Same is the case with upscalled HD movies in Sun TV. Other than these no pixels.

Sports channels (SD) are also in good quality. Pixels will be in Ten Sports and Ten Action only.

English Movie channles (SD) are also in good quality. No pixels at all in all the channels.

Now, it is upto you to decide to go or not to go with d2h. Remember I am using HD connection. I cannot comment on normal SD connection.

Wathching Sun Music in d2h :hd set top box.. connected coax out to digital to analog decoder.. decoder output to 5.1 home theater.. set prologic off in 5.1 home theater...

song: sara sara saarai kathu
movie: vaagai soodava
audio feel: 5.1 (after decoded with dolby prologic in built of my decoder)

i am not telling about 5.1 HT only TV,because 95 % people here mention sound quality from tv only.(why we need 5.1 ,just 2:1 stereo box giving superve sound for my 150 rupees parma bazaar Walkman.)

i am enjoying digital or stereo 3D surround for that song (with out HT) only on my TV.

off topic:brother you got Sony tv,tell me the experience what about "po nee po" from 3 movie.its amazing beat it will show your tv quality(you can hear the music from all around your room,voice come from middle of room. :luv ,specially that beat is rocks. (please from tv speaker only).
