Help me choosing a good HD Dth

d2h is best. you can buy base pack + all hd channels pack with minimum cost comparing with others. for me for 165 rs i am getting all telugu channels+ discovery, ngc, history, animal planet, 4 english news channels, cnn international. no other dth will provide all these channels for 165.

That means you can get all these channels from South Silver Pack + atleast 22 HD channels at around 333 rs...

for your info, tatasky is providing all english news channels, all knowledge/adventurous channels mentioned by you,ngc wild, fox traveller,discovery science in south special pack @ 170

So before buying any DTH one should make a list of channels he/ she likes then visit website of different dth and choose a dth which provide his/ her channels at least price.

For any combination of packs, TS seems to be costly as compared to other DTH.

Tata Sky having the best PQ. Yeh ek bacche bhi jante hain. TS is running successfully only because of its PQ , AQ & Service it provides. It has currently 24 True HD Channels. But it will increase as 3 to 4 new HD Channels will be added soon. Dont talk about D2H. It has the worst packaging system. Not a single English channel beyond 350 Bucks p.m. ADTV has gone down since its removal of regional channels from base packs. ADTV PQ worst. D2H PQ better than ADTV. But off topic one more thing have any one of you tried SUN DIRECT HD ? It has awesome pic quality but obviously not better than TS.

Please compare between Tata Sky South Sports Special HD Pack @ effectively RS 266 p.m. for a year with D2H & ADTV'S Pack. It has to be lower end pack. Just look at the Sports channels TS is providing in ths pack just @ RS 166 p.m. SD, RS 266 p.m. HD :

1. DD -National (As it sometimes shows live Indian Cricket)
2. DD -Sports
3. Star Sports 3
4. Star Sports 4
5. Star Sports HD 1
6. Star Sports HD 2

SIX Sports Channels @ RS 266 p.m.

Please make a genuine comparison with AQ, PQ, Packages everything.

Yes in the first look tata sky looks very expensive but if u use Saturday offers wisely then overall u will ended up paying around 70 or 80 rupees more only as compared to d2h...but we have to give credit to d2h as well for such packages so that other DTH providers can not go beyond a limit.. As we then have a choice

People dont go for any DTH just because of services other than TV channels. So if a new subscriber wants to choose any DTH, he will first check all other things except services like active services which are unique to a particular DTH. Generally for most of the people total no of channels & cost is the most imp decisive factor while choosing DTH. So considering this D2H policy suits most of the people & hence it is becoming more & more popular.
