Hotstar lauches subscription service for epl at 199 rs month

Hotstar, the video streaming service of Star India, has launched a premium subscription service for the English Premier League (EPL) for a monthly fee of Rs 199. The service is available free of cost on a one-month trial basis.

To watch the EPL, viewers can subscribe to the Hotstar Premium service at premium.hotstar.com. The EPL matches will be available live and exclusive on Hotstar starting on 13 August.

The EPL is one of the most followed football leagues in the world, and often, as many as four or five matches are played simultaneously across different venues. In fact, on Day 1, 13 August, five games will be live simultaneously, and Hotstar will show all the games.

All 380 games being played across nine action-packed months will be streamed live on to the mobile and web screens of viewers. Hotstar has also added Chromecast and Apple TV support so that users can now enjoy streaming matches to large TV screens, making it an all-encompassing experience.

There is a famous sayng in hindi which says "When your end is near, you go mentally bankrupt first.' This is what's going on with Star. There end is near. They have totally lost it after the exit of ESPN.

What if I only want to watch EPL? This doesn't make sense. 199 for just 4 gameweeks is way too pricey.
