Are you serious, IPL is premium property and IPL Broadcast rights value more then 35,000 Crores, Viacom 18 overall value also not even 6,000 Crores, IPL Media Rights Acquisition Cost Recovery mainly from Subscription and On Air Ad Revenue, if they aired IPL Free on Free Dish V/18 will face financial troubles within some months they will shutting down so many channelsThe thing is if Viacom gets rights they will probably telecast it on rishtey cineplex for DDFD.
IPL is not making to freedish for sure. But Viacom can sure put fresh capital into Indian market if they want to expand in other genres. Sports is the only genre they are yet to make their presence in.Are you serious, IPL is premium property and IPL Broadcast rights value more then 35,000 Crores, Viacom 18 overall value also not even 6,000 Crores, IPL Media Rights Acquisition Cost Recovery mainly from Subscription and On Air Ad Revenue, if they aired IPL Free on Free Dish V/18 will face financial troubles within some months they will shutting down so many channels
I feel their production is in 4K whereas indian only in HD.you can see the clear difference in T20WC vrs IPLWhoever buy the rights, if they ensure fine picture quality as we see in a cricket match played on AUS, ENG or NZ could be fine. Whoever has the telecasting rights in india, Usually Indian people get only sh#tty picture quality even in HD format if the matches played here in India be it right from neo, sony or star.
I think T20 World Cup production work is done by Star.I feel their production is in 4K whereas indian only in HD.you can see the clear difference in T20WC vrs IPL
Feed production is with BCCI whoever be the rights holder.
