@ ayanc : ESPNEWS was later renamed as "fox sports news". at the time of "star sports belive" revamp of network star was already applied to MIB for license of same kind of sports news channel under "ESPN NEWS" and also got it but it was never related to international sports news channel named "ESPNEWS" as this was scheduled to be launched as completely different channel from same. ESPN NEWS By "STAR Sports Network" was never seen daylight as network was headed for split and later also there was no plan on card for sports news channels in india. star sports network was at time of revamp in greed to launch regional sports network and they are still on there way for same.

Firstly in respect of sports channels etc don't argue with me as I have already told other members of this forum earlier.

The channel was called ESPNEWS and not ESPN NEWS.

Also similar channel is currently on in U.S. Where ESPN is operating. This channel only had downlinking permission as it was operating from Singapore. Now Star can change the same by applying to mib and obtain uplinking permission also and then launch ss 5 in sd.
