Star should use channel V license for star prime instead of star sports kannada language feeds is ok no need more regional sports channels :dodgy:

They can apply afresh for new licenses, there is no necessity to use Channel V's license for it.
And, regional sports broadcast (NOT FEED) have done wonders for star during IPL. They cater to a pretty decent population who would like to watch the content (NOT FEED) in the language they are familiar with. Star tailors content targeting the viewers and languages they speak and it has turned to be a good move, widely accepted and appreciated.

Regional language telecast is worth only during live matches. Such channels cannot get viewers in the remaining period.

Content is what the people need and Star knows exactly how to keep viewers glued to their channels. IPL has a tremendous replay value and highlights would be enough to keep the channel running till they have a live broadcast scheduled. Apart from IPL, they have huge content in terms of KPL and PKL which had regional commentary and presentation.

I don't think they would be planning HD versions of regional sports channels any time soon.
