Good question, i wish the second happens :ohya :lol

But someone supported by arasu give good quality?? :P :wall

So we need some better other neutral MSO who can really give good quality and a good package for a cheaper cost. :k :tup :clap
 
Also i have a question, SCV had the STB Ad in a particular channel for several years, and the took off analogue and started to irritate with STB ad's and the both Ad's are missing and Kalaignar group of channels moved to different slots, analogue back but in different and bad location.

So my question is why SCV stopped STB Ad's, and why channel numbers were changed after a very long time, and why Analogue is back?? My LCO said SCV has enough STB and can supply within a day and he was forcing to sell STB, but suddenly he stopped all that and all these changes.

Is SCV really in control or has lost to someone and some one already in control or going to take control so all these changes??

Or all LCO's waiting for TCCL and don't want to sell SCV STB??
 
Today is 23 Jan, Any one, any update on any MSO? Also any updates on SCV??
 
SCV continues in my Area. (Chromepet). No change as of now.
Even though TCCL starts, No LCO will connect suddenly to TCCL , they will wait for atleast 2 or 3 days / one week , then decide on that one.
First TCCL starts beaming , then we can think other things.
 
Yes, i agree. But it is boring to see these FTA channels (Sun, Jaya and Kalaignar network channels). Even the movies channels are in very bad quality, SCV should atleast give some good quality for the money we pay, this is nothing but cheating the public.
 
Pearlpearl, u r getting bad quality because of ur LCO, not because of SCV.
Me getting good quality even for last channel, Puthiya thalaimurai also showing without much grains for me before signal goes off.
Ask ur LCO to provide booster in ur street, then u will get good quality most of the channels.
Previously i had connection with another LCO in my area, with same scv mso, but the channel quality is bad for the last frequency channels.
It is the responsilibility of the LCO to provide booster for each street or each apartment.
Me too irritate with daily soaps (particularly with SUN network), nowadays not at all watching tv. I need some sports channels , (surelynot DD sports) , some English movies channels, and Discovery, Animal Planet channel, that's it. Looks i have to go for some DTH
 
Ok, thanks. But i cant ask my LCO about the booster because he may then ask me to buy STB as these people want to escape from their duty.

Yes, i too shall wait for another 2 or 3 weeks and then move to some DTH permanently, atleast they will give some discounts for 2nd and 3rd tv connection unlike SCV that wants the same cost for all of them & DTH seems like a good option as i may shift my house to another location by June or Aug.
 
If the signal is week, the set top box will also have problem and we will not get the channels. In analog, we can atleast watch channels with some grains. But in STB, the complete screen will have lot of boxes with no audio. So, placing a set top box will not return good picture always.

I faced this problem recently and complained my LCO. He visisted my home and checked the signal level. It is only 32% maximum and 20% minimum with quality of 70%. Then he go back to the connections and put a booster. Now the signal is 40% minimum and 52% maximum. Quality is 99% maximum (some time 100%). Now the analog mode is also very clear.

I give you an idea. If any of your friend is having set top box, ask them to complain that some times the singal is not good. Then the LCO will check and improve the signal. :)
