Since you are from TN, i would recommend you to catch Intelsat17 at 66.0°E. It has lot of tamil channels FTA

Also Insat 4A has lot of FTA channels. These two are best for starters in my opinion

Madhan bro has givin you nice info,But I think you didn't have c band setup ,If you want these fta channels then first also invest in good c band solid 6ft dish + c band lnb. This dish will help you hunting in both C/ku band channels.The good solid 6ft dish will cost you about Rs.2200 to 2600

For intelsat17 list The first 12 are C band and next 16 are ku band.

And as jenius said invest in c band you can watch a lot of fta channels.
