Picture Quality Issues : SD Channels / Technicolor STB

I had a DVR since 2010 which started showing several issues and airtel could not offer me a DVR/HD DVR so I upgraded to a HD HEVC STB of Technicolor yesterday. While I can see some threads declaring improvement in Picture Quality in Technicolor STB after latest update, I found SD Channels quality pathetic compared to my DVR (Pace make) STB; picture seems washed off and pretty much warmer than normal. No complaints regarding HD Channels though; they are too good.
So, can anyone suggest me a solution. Is flextronics STB really better in SD Channels PQ ?
Also, does Internet STB offer better picture quality for SD Channels ? It's an LG make (although LG STB Division now taken over by Technicolor) so sounds promising in quality.
I watch mostly HD but my parents watch Odia/Religious channels and I clearly remember those were so good in Pace DVR STB the last time I saw few days ago.

Bro Internet TV Box has better Picture Quality On all channels (Including SD and HD Both). So may be upgrading to Internet TV will help you out.

i used flextronics hd box before internet tv ,SD channel PQ decent in flextronics hd box.
internet tv SD channel PQ is better than flextronics hd box.

HD channels PQ Both are excellent for me
