Reliance Jio will capture market like d way it did in Telecom Industry More competition will be grt for Users to cut down Monthly packages price Hope TS,Airtel ,etc Business gets affected by it n they reduce package prices

If they would have opted for dth, then it would have been bigger hit.
As Optic Fiber is limited to just metros. Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities would be left out.

DTH is a flop technology compared to Wired... If the current MSOs work and provide better service, DTH won't be this successful in India. Now a days, cable MSOs are also improving... Very soon DTH will vanish or may be less used....

If jio provides dth their will be healthy competition to other dth and if it is fibre they will have take over cable industry completely if they are giving it for less cost but main key for success is they need to provide set top box at less cost because half of the country is digitalized so i dont think people will spend penies for set top box

Reliance Jio Infocomm, owned by Mukesh Ambani, is likely to introduce its DTH services in the month of December this year. For the first six months, the company is planning to offer the service free of charge for its subscribers.

When the free period will be over, the service will cost 185 INR (2.73 USD) per month. According to Indian Express, Jio will be offering a device which will be the set-box and an Android smart box or Apple TV. This will give users full control over the content and will allow them to play games. One of the option that comes with the service will be the seven-day catch up option.

The DTH services has been reported to most probably be called ‘JioTV’. It will proffer over 360 channels including not less than 50 of them in HD. Users will be served with a high-speed internet access and a slew of Jio services. This will be in the form of a high-speed optical fibre, pushing speeds up to 1 Gbps.

Plans to Expect with JioBroadband GigaFiber:

Rs. 500 for 3.5GB data use per day, with validity period of 30 daysRs. 400 for unlimited data usage, with validity period of 24 hoursRs. 1,500 for maximum data usage limit of up to 2000GB with 50Mbps speed, with validity period of 30 daysRs. 2,000 for maximum data usage limit of 1000 GB with 100Mbps speed, with validity period of 30 daysRs. 4,000 for data limit till 500GB with 400Mbps speed, valid for 30 daysRs. 3,500 for 750GB free data with 200Mbps speed, with validity period of 30 daysRs. 5,500 for 300GB of data with 600Mbps speed, valid up to 30 days

But with these services, we can surely say one thing that the DTH and Broadband market is going to be destroyed.
