Star/disney has Dabangg as it had acquired certain films viacom18 back in 2010 and this deal included some films released in later years too. Viacom18 still has rights for select airing of these films

Every New channel or channel which undergoes rebranding or revamp sees initial spike in ratings. Actual viewership is noticed only after 2 or 3 weeks as curiosity, interest of viewers about the channel begins to settle down. Remember Zee Bollywood was in Top 5 hindi movie chs for 2 or 3 weeks when it got launched but later never appeared in the charts

A great article on the unstoppable rise of Allu Arjun. Dhinchaak/Goldmines has profited the most from this as it has both AVPL and Pushpa, as well as Sarrainodu. As all of us know, Sony Max’s loss is Goldmines’ gain.

Still can't say might be digital rights sold to Disney-star like atrangi re and sanak.

Most probably Atrangi Re Digital Rights r with Anand L Rai hence disney+hotstar got it. Satellite rights might b with T Series or a joint call must have been taken as happens in such cases and Sony got the movie thru T Series agreement.

Sanak again was co produced by Zee Studios so they must b having satellite rights or a joint decision with Vipul Shah would have resulted in film going to zee. Digital rights might b with Vipul Shah hence disney+hotstar got it

Infact star/disney has the best content/movie acquisition team. They r acquire so many good and old bollywood films, hollywood dubbed films. Also they never sideline bollywood films for dubbed south indian movies. They have right balance of films ranging various genres and schedule the films very well

Acquiring hindi remake of a movie is a good decision as recently such movies have worked well at box office. There is vast audience who despite seeing dubbed version, would love to watch hindi remake and there is an equally large audience which has not seen dubbed movie and will watch hindi remake. Even Sony has original dubbed and hindi remake version of Jersey.

They r No. 1 Hindi Movie Channels network bcoz they r having right/balanced strategy wherein they r managing all aspects of running the channels quite well
But I'm not happy because Star or Hotstar acquired more Remake movies like Laxmii, Dil bechara, Mimi, Hum Do Hammare Do, Hungama 2 and Now once again they are going to acquire Ratsasan remake, Good luck Jerry and one more Remake Hridayam currently in per production. Zee/Sony too got some good movies both Bollywood and pan India movies, even Viacom too good in movie acquisition they got Shershaah, Minnal Murali.

Bro what I think broadcaster should manage bollywood and dubbed films both like zee viacom18. I can see Disney-Star has not acquired South dubbed films in recent times as a viewer not interested to watch bollywood films its end of good stories in bollywood movies. zee-sony and Viacom18 are getting some good atings for dubbed films.
