these current Star Gold/Hotstar movie acquisition and executive Heads really mad Acquiring Remake movies again and again Disney should kickout these movie acquisition team. Ratsasan which was Dubbed by T Series aired on Star Gold also on Hotstar, why should they spend 135 Cr for Remake movies, I Guess these acquisition Head and producers thought Bollywood movie audiences are really Mad watching anything, there're lot of good movies Available but no buyers

Instead of Remake movies, they should acquire more South and Hollywood Dubbed movies it will boost Star Gold Ratings like Zee and Goldmines, 2020 onwords Star have more crap flop, remake movies compares with Sony, Zee.
If they acquire more Dubbed movies like Bheeshma Parvam then it's good move

Bro this is last year of ipl for Disney-Star so I don't think they will take big step for acquiring/renewing bollywood or dubbed films till the tournament ends also Saturday and Sunday prime time reserved for ipl matches in star gold and other South gec channels.
Talking about digital rights agreement UTV has had in the past and i do not remember seeing UTV Motion Pictures film library on hotstar so cannot confirm the same.
As far movies names u mentioned which were premiered on UTV Movies, well i have already stated reason for the same. UTV Movies had movie sharing agreements with star india, zee, viacom18 at various points of time ... UTV Motion Pictures films too aired on UTV Movies bcoz of agreement with UTV signed with respective broadcasters which gave UTV Movies access to select airings. When UTV Movies launched in 2007, it was exclusively available on Tata Sky (name applicable in 2007) and this channel aired all films from zee network film library
Paramount High chances but Columbia is way far because Zee-Sony has managed their library very well .
So With this acquisition , when are u giving us a party?
As per my estimation Sony Pictures hollywood / international films library will shift shortly from sony/zee. Ofcourse they r managing it well but then again agreement renewal happen for various other reasons too
Infact star/disney has the best content/movie acquisition team. They r acquire so many good and old bollywood films, hollywood dubbed films. Also they never sideline bollywood films for dubbed south indian movies. They have right balance of films ranging various genres and schedule the films very well
Acquiring hindi remake of a movie is a good decision as recently such movies have worked well at box office. There is vast audience who despite seeing dubbed version, would love to watch hindi remake and there is an equally large audience which has not seen dubbed movie and will watch hindi remake. Even Sony has original dubbed and hindi remake version of Jersey.
They r No. 1 Hindi Movie Channels network bcoz they r having right/balanced strategy wherein they r managing all aspects of running the channels quite well
What r u saying anna? Infact it is exact opposite as in last 2 years they have immensely improved and it is best decision to give bollywood films more slots across their chs. FYI Star/Disney hindi movie channels r doing extremely well and they r No. 1 Network in Hindi Movie Genre. They have maximum films in last 2 or 3 years which have been top performers on ratings charts be it premieres or older films and these r 99% of the time bollywood films .
Soon if sony and zee do not improve then more bollywood banners and films will shift out from their network and star/disney, viacom18 will acquire these to consolidate their bollywood movie library / audience base and further climb up on ratings chart. Sony and Zee have been wrong in adopting dubbed south indian movies focused content strategy and their scheduling is also not quite good. I have already explained in detail why ignoring bollywood films on hindi movie films is not the correct decision as it has long term negative impacts be it financial or incase of ratings
