They Preponed it.

"Govinda Naam Mera" upcoming bollywood movie jointly produced by Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions will shortly be available on disney+hotstar....most probably satellite rights would also be with disney star. Usually colors cineplex is the satellite rights holder for all bollywood films which r co produced by Viacom18, maybe as viacom18 has incurred losses in past few releases hence they have decided to sell satellite rights to rival network channels and Disney Star as such has a long standing good relationship with Viacom18

"No Profit, No Loss"

What about loss of time and effort of everyone involved?

That is included cost of production.

Infact going forward bollywood should make more masala movies and release them directly on OTT/ TV. Other niche or large scale entertainers which appeal to all segments of audience which can continue to be released 1st in cinemas or theatres. As such masala mass entertainers mostly perform quite well on TV rather than cinemas bcoz TV is affordable entertainment medium and reaches more effectively to a far wider audience base in smaller towns, rural areas

Concept of TV movies is quite successful even in other countries too

I think Veer Zara, Dhoom 2, Fanaa, Salaam Namaste, Band Bajaa Baraat, Chak De India, Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Fan, Sultan, Ishqzaade, Aurangzeb, Dil Bole Hadippa, Rocket Singh, Bunty Aur Bubli, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Befikre, Badmaash Company, Lafangey Parindey, Aaja Nachle, Mujhse Fraandship Karoge, Mere Dad Ki Maruti, Kill/Dill, Shuddh Desi Romance, Daawat E Ishq, Ek Thha Tiger, Titli, Qaidi Band, Neal n Nikki, Pyaar Impossible and few other YRF movies will shift to Disney-Star in next 2 or 3 months.

Murder 3 not aired on sony hindi movie channels since a long time , had it been with sony then it would have been on sony-zee hindi movie channels. May be it will b renewed by Disney Star in next few weeks.

It wouldn't be written as No Profit, No Loss if that wasn't the case. And TV movies are extremely low budget movies comissioned by broadcasters themselves. They are meant to TV movies. Not something purchased by broadcasters.
