Discussion Satellite rights of Hindi movies

After a long time "Ra. One (2011)" is being aired by Zee at prime, tomorrow at 5PM on &Pictures SD & a 5:30PM on &Pictures HD, just before "Race (2008)".

So only "Race (2008)" will be renewed and Shown on SD feed of & Pictures (as per promo).

I think Pen Studios movie library (both bollywood and dubbed south indian) will exit zee soon. Also Goldmines movie library has probability of exiting Viacom18 Hindi Movie Channels in a gradual manner so may be there will be some rotation happening where much of these movies will shift from viacom18 to own channels of Goldmines and few might stay and some fresh ones will join in. Already Maa Tujhe Salaam, Sone Pe Suhaaga and few other movies have moved from Viacom18 Hindi Movie Channels to own channels of Goldmines. Previously both networks had certain movies which both aired but now Goldmines maintaining exclusivity over many movies....maybe since their channels r now extremely popular hence they have decided to lower the syndication of content as exclusivity will help fetch more for ad slot rates while negotiating on it with brand agencies.

Still wondering why Disney-Star is not having rights of My Name Is Khan as it is a movie co-produced them. Maybe just like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil rights of the same rest with Dharma Productions and both these movies will come on Disney-Star TV as well as OTT platforms once agreement with Dharma Productions is renewed.

Also 2012 movies Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu which r co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures still not renewed by Disney-Star.

Zee seems to have renewed agreement with Reliance Entertainment, if so then movies like Bodyguard, Aiyaary, Raavan, Do Knot Disturb, Main aur Mrs. Khanna etc. might shift soon from Disney-Star to Zee. If Reliance Entertainment plans hsve dual broadcaster agreement then their movie library which is currently with zee might shift to Disney-Star and vice versa.. Pretty much Eros or Shemaroo owned Shree Ashvinayak Productions bollywood movies got interchanged in the past between Viacom18 and Zee. Talaash (2012) might be renewed by Disney-Star

Maachis (1996), Angoor, Aashiqui, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, Andaz Apna Apna , All The Best though have been renewed by Dony but airing quite less on their hindi movie channels

Like yeh jawaani hai deewani, KKHH,SOTY,kapoor &sons ,etc
Were expired from netflix and amazon prime video both this month dont know what they are planning but they need to get in a deal with someone ... wondering who will be their next ott partner
