Hameshaa (1997) renewed by Zee, airing tomorrow morning on Zee Bollywood. Prior to this Disney-Star had it in its movie library. NH Studioz currently owns its satellite rights, before that Goldmines had the rights and movie aired sometimes on B4U Movies/Kadak and at that point of time as far as i remember Sony had it in their movie library but aired it mostly in watershed hours

As far as i know it was first with other network may be star or sony (don't remember exactly) then moved to zee about 10-15 years ago, then moved again to star & then fta channels etc.
Now again back to zee

Hameshaa mostly aired on Star. Now renewed on Zee. I remember seeing it on Star Gold early morning

So viacom18 seems to have entered into some special partnership / movie rights acquisition agreement with Shemaroo as in last 12 or 15 months large number of the bollywood movies whose satellite rights they have bought are all from Shemaroo Movie Library.

That was in early 2000s, before that zee owned the rights....later in late 2000s Sony got the rights and post that Eros had the rights hence they aired the movie on B4U Movies / Kadak while Sony continued airing it in watershed hours. Later Goldmines acquired the rights and post that NH Studioz got the rights, Disney-Star included this movie in their bollywood movie library last year but aired it once or twice in watershed hours, now zee has renewed the movie rights.

I am not sure but there maybe a movie syndication agreement also inplace between zee and disney-star wherein less latter maybe sharing certain movies with zee like they do so for sme other less popular bollywood movies.

I still do not understand if Zee-Sony are partners why they keep same premiere date/time for movies....on 25th June at 8 PM both r premiering a new movie thus leading to viewership getting split
