Discussion Satellite rights of Hindi movies

So viacom18 seems to have entered into some special partnership / movie rights acquisition agreement with Shemaroo as in last 12 or 15 months large number of the bollywood movies whose satellite rights they have bought are all from Shemaroo Movie Library.

Shemaroo is currently dealing with Viacom and Sony. Zee has almost stopped while Star gets an occasional movie

Also adding to my above point i find it extremely strange that whenever movies which r with sony that are about to expire and zee is the one who is renewing the same then why does sony repeat such movies non stop as it is shifting to a rival network

Even Zee did the same with Baweja Movies last year. Sony did that with Kohram and other movies. I am glad that Sony Max 2 is shifting it's gears and becoming a proper secondary channel exclusively for Bollywood

Wrong. Disney-Star has renewed so many movies from Shemaroo in last 2 or 3 years including many retro bollywood movies. Also they have renewed many movies from NH Studioz, Ultra too. Zee is renewing many movies from NH Studioz, Soham Rockstar Entertainment apart from various movie banners. Sony renewed many bollywood movies from Eros and few from Ultra, NH Studioz.

DRJ Records, Cinecurry, SEPL, and few others too have movie syndication agreement with various broadcasters.

Goldmines still has ongoing agreement with Viacom18 but i feel they will slowly make all such movies exclusive to their own movie channels soon. Expect similar strategy from Pen India if BFlix Network channels get good ratings and proper distribution across platforms

Zee repeated Baweja Films movies as rights of the same were expiring and shifting to rival network...not only that shemaroo owned the rights of these movies and their agreement was also expiring hence post exit from zee shemaroo entered short term agreement with FTA channels and later all these movies were acquired by Goldmines.

Kohram was with Sony them shifted to Disney-Star and afterwards to zee.

I can understand that broadcasters repeat movies when same r set to expire and shift to rival networks but why sony repeats movies which r set to be renewed by zee?
