Again again u say negative for sony network

I am not saying star is perfect network star too has shortcomings but sony has so many issues that should get solved hopefully after zee sony merger and firstly they should stay away from studios like t series and pooja entertainment they make only movies to make black money white unki movies jitne budget bataye jaate hai utne reality mein hote hai nahi and usse black money ko white karte hai and unki movies mein kuch quality hoti hai nahi except kuch movies ke and they should focus more on Bollywood content especially on their hd channels

Accha agar sony itna hi investments pe focus karta hai toh vo har saal t series ki aaltu faltu movies kyun leta hai they should not buy them sony jaise partners unhe milte hai tabhi vo black money ko white karte hai aur isliye vo aise trash movies banate hai star ka yeh decision bahut hi sahi tha ki they ended their partnership and t series movies don't get trp also except few movies so they also should end their partnership

And please provide the proof that sony & t series is dealing with black money. Can understand about these 2 movies mentioned, but ZHZB is itself yet to come on jiocinema, and will stream in this month or next month, remember even Vikram Vedha & Bhediya took so long to stream on JC & have WTP on Colors Cineplex after that, since vhot was being abandoned and jio cinema was being chosen so it happened.

Yes even OTT premiere happening quite late....Viacom18 and Jio need to address this issue....already they have only few new bollywood movies to showcase

I told you to check that link I posted in second last comment. Sony spent less for money for content acqusition. So sony is not paying much to t series. And please provide the proof that sony & t series is dealing with black money. See Akshay movies has done well for hotstar and even his films do well on television that's why they buys his movies even now hotstar has also stopped acquisitions and recent yrf movies which flopped last year were all pre pandemic movies which they holded so long for theatres they were also getting offers for ott releases but they didn't released them but t series makes 15 to 20 movies in which hardly 4 to 5 movies have quality and others are completely trash even adipurush and ganapath ke asli mein budget bataye gaye thhe unko dekhkar kisi bhi angle se lagta hai ki unke asli mein utne budget thhe and as i said in my last post every network has their shortcomings but they should overcome them

Here we aren't here to argue. Yeah I know that you don't have a good portrayal about Sony. But pointing the network as TRP HUNGERS is not fair. Every network seeks for TRP even your favourite Disney-Star. For instance, in some previous pages @Alvin explained why Vikram is not getting proper airings on Star Gold. This is only because of TRP. If we categorise South Indian movies, Disney-Star has plenty of good ones (say, Vikram, Vikram Vedha, ET, etc). But the question is are they getting proper airings. No absolutely not, just because of TRP. However, some of them (say, Sita Ramam, etc) get good airings, because of TRP only.

And pointing to T-Series that they don't have good movies to deal with Sony is again not fair. Do not forget the most recent Animal and who knows in future they would have many biggies (say Pushpa 2 and more).

I am not arguing (even I like Disney-Star), just saying calmly that every network has their time. May be in future Sony would get bigger library.

Sony has just one big banner T Series which usually produces few big budget movies in an year and rest r mid to small budget movies, apart from this there r some dubbed movie studios + smaller bollywood movie banners which they have agreement with + few dubbed hollywood movies rights which they acquire hence obviously their content acquisition cost will be lot lower than Zee or Disney- Star which spend lot of money in acquiring new & old movies via agreement with big or small movie banners of library companies....Disney-Star infact invests a lot in also acquiring many hindi/regional dubbed hollywood movies.

If we draw larger comparison then too Sony has much smaller bouquet of channels across genres compared to Disney-Star or Zee and again barring maybe Hindi GEC its spending would be lot less or nil (channel missing in that genre like music or lifestyle) in all other genres . In sports genre too Disney-Star invests lot more than Sony

Crux of the discussion we r having is that Hindi Movie Channels need to air more of bollywood movies content (as it is native to the channel genre) rather than focusing on mostly airing Dubbed South Indian Movies.....if Disney-Star can very successfully run its Hindi Movie Channels largely driven by Bollywood Movies so can others...... Not only it is generally not right for a Hindi or any other language movie channel to air mostly other regional movies dubbed in that language rather content made in native language in which concerned channels operate in but from business point of view too it is not a good decision.

Any Hindi Movie channel which sidelines bollywood movie content is basically eroding its bollywood movie audience base so which means new bollywood movies it acquires at very high price may not get desired ratings thereby leading to lower ad revenue thus pouring in losses ..... Till about early 2010s Dubbed South Indian Movies could be acquired at much lower price and many Hindi Movie Channels acquired them and managed to make good profits but now same is not the case since last 5 or 6 years so acquisition cost has gone up multifold but ad rates won't have jumped that high as largely most of these movies barring some very popular ones get audience from smaller towns or villages in certain Hindi Speaking Markets and from South India....now as far as i have read/ know advertisers do not pay high price for ad slots on a channel which is getting less ratings from urban centres while from South Indian States such content may get good ratings from rural + urban areas but remember these r not primary audience of this content as most of people forming part of this group would have watched these movies in native language and tune into Hindi Dubbed Version thereafter so advertisers / brands prefer reaching out to them via regional movie channels & pay even premium for buying ad slots there rather than spending more in buying ad slots on Hindi Movie Channels to reach this audience segment.

So it is essential for Hindi Movie Channels to build a strong bollywood movie audience base + feature more dubbed hollywood movies on their channels and air few dubbed South Indian Movies to run a successful business....more so for HD Hindi Movie channels it becomes even more poignant to have a more bollywood content driven strategy for which u can read posts in below thread
