Discussion Satellite rights of Hindi movies

Even Viacom18 does try to partner with other networks for satellite rights of its home production movies.....promotions ofcourse will happen on Viacom18 channels as they r channel partners being under the same parent company as their movie studio, even such promos can be seen on other platforms which r radio/ OOH/Digital etc partners of the movie.

Dunki may go to zee incase SRK acquires its satellite rights, Fighter may go to disney-star if Hrithik acquires the satellite rights and has ongoing agreement with Disney-Star or if Viacom18 decides to sell satellite rights

Hrithik deal with star broked post kaabil because of lack of movies super 30 gone to star because of nadiadwala and war because of yrf so colors will only get rights but if star Viacom merger happens then star will get fighter

Ajay recent movies like velle runway 34 thank God bholaa gone to zee because of his deal with zee so zee is also contender

And all proved to be flop both at box office and TV, atleast if these aired on Disney-Star Hindi Movie Channels then i believe they would have achieved average to above average ratings considering very robust/huge bollywood audience base it would have reached on their network

Jio cinema is also a media partner for it . Which means Viacom network is the front runner for satellite rights

Buddy there is a difference between movie doing well on tv and being given prime slots vs a movie not performing well but given some prime slots so as to provide required airing as high investments have gone in in acquiring rights....if one has deep insights then easily the option applicable can be decoded....here in above case latter seems to be true, infact even Satyaprem Ki Katha added in And Xplor HD movie schedule so fast and Bholaa too will be added soon if not aired on this channel till now, if a movie does well it will get aired even after some months at primetime and not get added in the library of offbeat movie centric movie channel of a network

Still Being a Viacom 18 film , it'll mostly be with Colors. Infact there are a lot of promos of it airing on Cineplex. Dunki will be tricky though I feel it'll go to Zee considering Jio is casual when it comes to Satellite acquisition. Recently Dono and Baipan Bhari Deva went to different channels
