I agree they are facing loss but we all knw they will be in losses for initial 2yrs & am sure in upcoming yrs they r gonna make very high profits from ipl as with every passing year they are getting higher & higher revenues
In 2018 they fetched 1800-2000cr from tv & in total they made 3000 cr
In 2019 they fetched more than 2000-2500cr just from tv so you can assueme in total 3200-3500 cr so you can see trend is upward
Ipl total cost is 16347 cr for 5 yrs, 3269 cr for 1 yr
By this they made losses only in 1st yr...they will recover losses by this upward trend & will make big money & disney-fox facing loss in 2019 there are still 4 yrs for ipl rights renewal so we dont know how much profit/ loss will be made by disney-fox till 2023

Fifa telecast by Sony is the best and IPL telecast also was the best when it had. Sony is pumping money in Sports surely it will bounce back and get Ipl rights

Sony will never go for digital rights for sure. They themselves know that their infrastructure is bad, that's why they didn't post a bid for the digital rights during the recent bidding

Search for FIFA Sony Liv on twitter. You won't find one positive response. It was terrible. My HD box had problem. So I was streaming as box couldn't be replaced on Sunday. The stream was blurry. Mind you that I had a premium account.

They will surely improve, I love Sony only because they have a base of strong content not like Zee who runs on Kumkum and Kundali Bhagya Or Star who runs on Yeh rishta kya kehlaata hai or Colors well nothing to say
