Sony only has handful of 2000 plus Bollywood cinema which has increased a bit (B4U Deal) and Firoz Nadiadwala Deal (from the past one week No Phir Hera Pheri and No Welcome on Zee) but has to buck up its shoes.Jolly bhai, yes chs do consider dubbed movies too as hindi movies and that is fine bcoz ultimately viewer is able to watch in that lang. What i m saying is that a ch needs to have strong library of region specific content in which it is operating. Hindi movie chs need bollywood similarities tamil, telugu, kannada, malyalam, bhojpuri, marathi movie chs need native cinema ... Dubbed content can b added along depending on popularity of it in the target market of ch. I believe that all kinds of audience should b served their fav content which is where sony is lacking as far as post 200 bollywood cinema or even classic cinema is concerned
Earlier the rights would be with different broadcasters for a specific period of time (films released between 2007-09) with Sony premiering most of these films while others would share.
Partner has been the only movie which has been renewed I can definitely say that has been shown in all of the 4 major broadcasters
2008-14 - Sony
2014 - 18 - Star/Viacom
2018 - present - Zee
While Welcome was aired only twice (once on Sony and the other on Max during 2008) thereafter rights shifted to Star and FTA channels before moving to Zee and then again to Sony
