CHENNAI: Your monthly cable TV bills are going to get cheaper. Facing stiff competition from free-to-air channels for viewership and advertisements, about 180 pay channels have come together to slash tariffs by almost half in Tamil Nadu. The new tariffs, effective from Friday, will be valid for six months, after which the broadcasters are likely to go for a review of the rates.

The cut is steepest among sports channels as they are the most expensive of the pay channels. For instance, ESPN will now cost around 14 per month, compared to 25 earlier. The movie channel Movies Now, that was priced around 40 earlier, will now be available for 30 a month. Yes Still not linked to any documents, so they have officially removed the packages put earlier, may be seeing the huge competition and the sudden drop in pay channel costs may have given them a shock, they always seem to want high prices and high profits and less customer satisfaction.

scv has finally moved zee tamil and star vijay to a new location wihch is there along with the tamil channels.

Yes. But they still didn't moved Zee Tamil under Tamil category. Also, Imayam TV is not in Tamil category.
