Which DTH or cable platform has the space to add so many channels, or even to keep so many LCNs? This does not even include the HD channels! I am sure that anybody who looks at this list in an EPG guide will get a headache immediately!

Absolutely... Only 3 Channels from a Network is needed to show sports.

The number 1 should be removed from Star Sports regional channels. There isn’t going to be any Star Sports 2 Hindi. Also, Star Sports First should be renamed as it causes confusion with SS1.

For Sony, retire the Ten brand and call the channels Sony Sports 1/2/3/4/5/6 (where 6 is obviously Sony Six; 5 can be launched later).

Actually 1, 2, 3 r branding for particular chs having similar content in diff languages. Though i don't like this numbering concept specially when there r so many chs...some simpler names would b better. Star Sports First has no purpose since exit from Free Dish, it might again arrive on Free Dish or shut down soon

Yes... Star Sports First has nothing to do. They're too simulcasting highlights of Cricket matches all the time.

SUN News - Should shutdown as it still telecasts news on the parent Sun TV at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm. And besides SUN News has been having low ratings ever since the launch of news channels like News7 Tamil, News18 Tamilnadu., Pudhiya Thalaimurai, and so on. Moreover, they have already shut down Udaya News and Gemini News. So no need for SUN News as well.

SunTV network never shutdown sun news as like in other languages. They need Sun News for political reasons.

Colors Super
Rebrand into Multi Lingual Channel for telecast dubbed contents in south indian languages Where Colors present is less.
Uttaran, Bepennah, Naagin and few serials are already available in south languages.

Chithiram
Rebrand as Kalaignar TV Network's Movie channel + Kids Channel. They already telecast 3 dubbed movies per day. Must add few new cartoon shows. Now chithiram available in cable tv only.

 

[Bulgari]

Share new names of channels without broadcaster name or logo in it.

For example, Star Plus and Zee TV have broadcaster names in it (Star and ZEE).

Star Plus --> Pop India

Zee TV ---> Rangeela TV
