Here Star's main point is they are fine with DD showing matches in terrestrial network and on DD FD, but they don't want DD to share the match signals with cable operators

It is very difficult to produce two different feeds of the same channel & derive a mechanism to monitor that in such a less time. These events are of a national importance and noone should be denied of that.

DD didn't beg from Supreme Court. The law was passed back in 2007. It's Star who ran to the court first. The high court gave a ruling in their favour. But DD challenged the decision in the Supreme Court & one. So it's completely fair.

Exactly. They themselves are broadcatsing the matches on so many channels which are much cheaper than Star Sports packages. So I don't know why are they crying so much.

First of all live telecast of matches is not of national importance. Secondly a simple logic if govt want to show the matches why they dont buy the rights. Thirdly will DD share its rights to any private operator no. Fourthly star has to defend its rights so it went to court. Its a bad precedence set by the govt. The govt should compete instead of demanding something which is not theirs.
