Sony is riding high on success with the Universal deal they made last year,Star has lost it's evergreen movie library consisting of movies like Jurassic Park,The Mummy,Fast and Furious
With that deal Sony would be getting large amount of new critically acclaimed and top grossers,so this channel was necessary for them  hya hya hya
Now we have 5 important HD channels in pipeline from SPN and each one is equally important  :k
