What are the cricketing rights available with the following channels?
1. 1Sports
2. Eurosport / Eurosport HD
3. DD Sports 1.0
4. DD Sports 2.0
5. PTC Punjabi Gold (it is supposed to be movie + sports channel)

Good Question..But the answer is nil.
DD sports can't able to buy any rights outside india. For India cricket rights , there is huge competition between Sony and star , so dd sports can't go near to them.
1sports and eurosports has good chance to enter into indian sports segment by buying WI, NZ cricket rights and can able to come as competitor for star and sony.

Why is football being sacrificed here for PSL? Bengali and Malayalam commentary won't be available for Euro 2020 because of PSL. They atleast need to enable it for Sony Ten 2 HD which got Bengali feed on Tata Sky. There is always Sony Aath for some Bengali football.

Agree W.B. nd KERELA have most football fans in india .nd if they cant show match on sony six
They shud on sony aath nd on sony ten 4 they can give malayalam option

I know sony just launched ten 4 but imo they are one channel short.when ten 4 announced we all were hoping now the gap wont be thr but ten 4 is a regional channel.
They need a channel like sony sports where they can telecast extra sports event coz ten 1 (wrestling)ten 2 (football )ten 3 (hindi) six (cricket)

Unlikely. Don't see that much demand for PSL when Euro 2020 and England test was going on. Many were venting their anger on Sony's Twitter account. Bad move by Sony.

Sadly, there is indeed a demand for PSL. Thanks to fantasy games. Popularity has gone pretty high in last few years. Hence, Sony outbidded Discovery for PSL rights. About the outrage you were talking about. There were literally 20 people complaining. Problem is not with rights. It's with how Sony is poorly managing their channel. It starts from selling sports channels based on language feeds. Based on how much sporting right they got
They actually needed Euro to feature in two channels with all the featured languages which leaves 3 channels free for scheduling of other live sporting events.

Sony is becoming star sports 2.0
They gonna telecast next india sl series in 4 channal.ten 3 hindi nd ten 4 tamil telegu so we can understand.but on ten 1 nd sony six they gonna show in english . If they not gonna telecast in bengali nd malayalam then they shudnt telecast on ten 1 .sony six is enough

my opinion is Sony shouldn't bought TEN network.
So that we could have three major networks fighting for the rights.. Now after Sony merge with TEN, we have only two , both lookingfor BCCI rights rather than any other country rights
