Its not shared basis, they sold exclusive TV rights of ICC mens events to Zee for 1.5 billion USD. Now Disney STAR have streaming rights of entire ICC events alongwith exclusive TV rights of Women ICC events worth for remaining 1.5 billion USD.

STAR can't got huge ads due to they puts all live cricket under paywall and without proper publicity. You didn't remember Hotstar was free for first 5 years (2015-2020) includes IPL. Now Jio is no1 in Telecom revenues after 9 months of free.
Free cricket stream means every one can access by digital mode, so they can earn more revenue by ads, than subscription revenue.
