Star Movies airing Koffee with Karan at midnight

Star in general is loosing plot with content on of its channel..... Star plus their flagship channel has got all of its content wrong, it has become one dimensional channel.... they have stopped reality shows completely, no good kids shows, no game shows, most of their shows are very much similar.... even if ew see Star sports they are obsessed with cricket and with team India and its players..... Star bharat is only showing couple of shows and rest are repeat and they are charging rs!9 plus tax for that channel... either rebrand the channel get good shows or discontinue the channel.... they can make it as a comedy channel.... Star movies rather putting old shows like K with K they can sir kids movie or Disney cartoon slot they have huge library of Disney and FOX..... they should get Back FX channel as a English entertainment channel....

That show is not popular. Just watch the feedback given by our forum members. It use to be popular when social media wasn't big. Also new episodes came on OTT over TV. If it was popular among tv viewers. They would've aired it to gain advertising and increased subscription revenue.

After midnight martial arts and movies with racy themes are popular. I don't get the purpose of airing Koffee with Karan. I am wondering what's the target audience Star is targeting by airing this. I use to stay up night watching sitcoms on Star World and Comedy Central aired. Comedy Central use to be ad-free back than.

Star Plus tried bringing in different reality shows + very different kind of limited episodes fiction shows but it failed to deliver good ratings but on the other hand their regular fiction content has resonated in a great manner with the audience so it has helped them perform very well on ratings chart..... Each channel develops its forte like Sony does extremely well in reality shows segment while Star Plus does well in fiction shows segment


Already answered lot of times why cricket forms majority of content on Star Sports channels, any broadcaster investing in premium cricket rights crafts content strategy to recover the costs which is very tough and subscription revenue plays as crucial role as ad revenue to maximise return of investment..... Also acquiring rights of other sporting properties like Wimbledon, Premier League etc cost quite high so again broadcaster has to look into ways to monetise it in best manner still one has to appreciate Disney-Star for keeping 2 Star Sports Select channels dedicated to non cricket content


About Star Bharat well i agree they need to bring in a content revamp and launch channel on DD Free Dish platform.....also Star Movies needs to air more variety of movies as there r lot of kids + regular movies available in their library from their various film production arms which do not find space on their English Movie Channels......Star Movies Select as i have said will likely undergo revamp/ rebrand soon so until then most probably it shall keep repeating few movies.

Bindass also seems to be awaiting revamp and Star Utsav 2 might be a hybrid channel airing youth shows, music, some movies etc and available on DD Free Dish platform.....could also be that its name might be changed too and Star Utsav 2 might be temporary name

Star utsav should rebrand to star plus select that can airs old shows that star utsav used to air, my ideas

Dino, star movies select hd launched in july 2015, and in june 2017, star movies action was replaced by star gold select

So Star movies select hd airs movies from china and germany, Better revamp to star movies kids so star movies will only air all of movies, not kids one
