Star Plus HD has launched in the UK on the Sky DTH platform, offering viewers an opportunity to watch all their favourite shows in HD. Star Plus HD is a simulcast version of the Star Plus SD feed.
The broadcaster said that this makes Star Plus HD the first and only Asian HD channel to broadcast in the UK.
Rajan Singh, EVP, Star said in a statement, “The pace of innovation at Star UK has been phenomenal and with the Star Plus HD launch in the UK, we are able to delight our viewers and advertisers alike with an unmatched and exciting viewing experience.”
Star network channels are available in over 10 million UK homes. The Star network is a fully owned subsidiary of News Corporation.
