Will anyone watch baatsha or chandramukhi or ghilli many times when they show in tv? Most prefer new movies only.people watch new movies only.sun tv can't buy new movies because of competition.so they started producing movies again

I will watch any times these movies bro (may be except Chandramuki)..

Sun TV currently lacks only new movies but Zee Tamil & Vijay TV completely lacks a full fledged movie library that's capable of telecasting movies everyday even on a Single channel without much repeats but on the other hand Sun TV is capable of telecasting movies on multiple channels without much repeats on Daily basis.

Sun TV lack of new movies shouldn't be only attributed to lack of revenue but also the current trend in 2 to 3 years which isn't conducive to buy movies for example TherI & Kabali rights acquired by Sun TV after years of delay and like that many movies with rights unsold status that had a good run at box office still remaining unsold will be undoubtedly purchased by Sun TV with lots of new small budget movies and that could provide Sun TV with more Movies to be telecasted on its 2nd GEC too.

They just paused movie purchase to fund two new channels in Bengali & Marathi and revamping sun life,there CFO told 300 to 400 crs for new movies including, they are producing sarka,Petta, another Rajini movie.

Drawing a parallel between the success story of 90s and the contemporary time is really absurd. People have to understand that tamil market is no longer Monopoly. Sun tv is losing it's market share. When zee and colors launched their second gecs in Marathi and Kannada respectively, they cemented their maket share which is not happening here in Tamil. Zee and star have grown in multiple folds, but sun isn't doing anything to strengthen it's main gec. With launching a second get which is placed as a youth channel with no youth in it's presentation and logo, sun will lose the race. It's cramming it's responsible work with launching further channels in new market as well. It's not a good sign. They are dreaming without a strong basement. It will lead to the collapse of sun in Tamil market. Zee and sun will outplay sun in Tamil market in few years. It's all set !

For very few people they can't put a movie repeatedly.They have very few new movies so adjusting with old movies. Shortage of movies they show serials.if they have library why can't put movies on Saturday.funny

Zee and Star has Improved i agree but sunTv TRP impression improved day by day......Zee and Star has strong line up with Reality shows so 2nd GEC has Fully target the 18 to 30 yrs youngster.....

But star vijay Bigg boss only one strength after tha bigg boss falling down....TRP....But sun Tv....

No, ETV PLUS is second Gec mainly focused on comedy & youth shows. They are telecasing original content unlike some rerun channels.We can't compare sun network comedy channels as they are running channels with Comedy clips from Movies.
