Again you have to read history from 2004 to 2007 dayanidhi I.T minister. 2009 to 2013 again textile minsiter. Raja made i.t minister from 2007 to 2009.2008 families joined.i hope clarified

First u need to read politics history for 25 yrs.without knowing anything just commenting here.sun tv started in 1992.dmk came back power 96.dmk in central govt from 96-98 then also in 99 to 2004,2004-2009,2009-2013.dmk had central ministers during that period.To get a channel license u need central power.i hope i clarified on this.pls read and come here after.

Being in central power will help only to get license may be. But , not for the TRP.

No need to teach Politics , especially TN politics. I follow politics from early 90s.

I saw advertisement today in k tv that those who watch sun tv serials from 7 to 9.30 p.m and answer the questions asked by them will get free tickets to watch sarkar audio launch..This clearly shows how their trp.

Is that wrong? Every channel followed that strategy of asking questions in between some programs. (Even during DD 5 days).

Off topic, since Sun is starting Sun Bangla and Sun Marathi, how would it be if Sun decides to ditch all the current channel names and rename as follows:

SURYA is a very popular channel brand in Kerala, maybe second only to Asianet brand. So they are very unlikely to change SURYA. They may add more channels under SURYA brand like SURYA LIFE, SURYA CLASSIC etc.

The current brand names they given in all south languages are suitable in all aspects more over each name is related to Sun. The logo will make people understand they are Sun network channels.Easy to pronounce and names will not be lengthy. So the above renaming is not suitable IMO.

Sun TV Network’s second Tamil GEC Sun Life targeted at millennials will launch on 7 October.

The network is re-branding its hybrid movie and music channel Sun Life as a GEC with fresh content. The channel, which has been in the works for three months, will have 24 hours of original content a week.
